Job Title: 2nd Line Service Desk Applications Engineer
Department: Managed Services
Responsible: Service Delivery Manager

Job Summary:

The purpose of this role is to provide technical support to our users and customers on their accounting and business software and other IT related queries, ensuring their incidents are resolved in an efficient and professional manner. Fundamental to the role is the ability to offer exceptional customer service, through excellent written, oral and organisational skills, whilst delivering accurate technical resolutions to problems.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Provision of quality IT support to clients and internal users
  • The creation of procedures and documentation as required
  • Accurate recording of time in our Helpdesk software

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • At least 1 years experience in any of the following packages (or any other accounting software)
    - Sage Line 50
    - Sage MMS
    - Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains
    - Pegasus
    - Sun-Oracle   
    - Iris Exchequer
    - SAP   
    - Pegasus Accounts
    - Navision
    - Quickbooks
    - Access Accounts
  • An understanding of the principles of double entry accounting
  • Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7 Desktop
  • Microsoft Office Applications 2003/2007
  • Hardware & printer support
  • A current full driving license is essential

Further knowledge in the following areas would be advantageous:

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005
  • Payroll
  • Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007
  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2003/2007
  • ITIL Experience
     

Qualifications:

  •  Relevant and current MCPs would be advantageous.
