Customer Services Director
We are looking for a professional, customer focused, quick learning and self-motivated Infrastructure Engineer to join the Infrastructure Services team.
With a minimum of 3 years experience in a Microsoft Windows Infrastructure environment the successful candidate will be technically minded, have strong experience configuring and supporting Windows 2000 & 2003 servers, Active Directory, Exchange and WAN networks and should enjoy working in a team. Reporting to the Customer Services Director, the successful candidate will join the existing team of Infrastructure Engineers to deliver high quality network and server solutions to clients. The role will include involvement in large-scale infrastructure design and implementation projects as well as providing network & server support for the internal network and third line support to clients across the UK. There will also be requirement to visit customer sites where necessary therefore good interpersonal skills are also required.

- Provision of quality on-site IT support to clients as required
- High level 3rd line support to the Support Desk when required
- Excellent IT infrastructure support to clients
- Configuration and installation of PCs, servers and networks
- Maintenance & creation of required technical documentation
- Involvement in technical pre-sales activity
- To assist Project Managers with other duties as required
- Involvement in procurement and technical design
- Team mentor
- Time management and self organisation skills
- Occasional working away from home may be required
- Other ad-hoc work as instructed by Customer Services Director or internal and external customers

- £24,000 to £34,000 dependent on skills and experience
- 24 days holiday plus bank holidays

A minimum of 3 years experience in a commercial IT environment is required with a strong working knowledge of the following:
- Windows 2000/2003 Servers
- Multi-site Active Directory environments
- Group Policy Management
- Networking & connectivity principles
- DNS & DHCP
- TCP/IP
- Network and Internet security principles
- Server Hardware, routers and firewalls
- Backups and data resilience
- A full UK driving license is essential
Further knowledge in the following areas would be advantageous:
- ISA Server 2004 / 2006
- Windows Server 2008
- Virtulisation
- Server security including anti-virus, anti-spam and anti-spyware
- Current Windows clients
- SQL Server 2000
- Exchange Server 2003
- Experience of end-user support
- Degree educated, or equivalent is required
- A minimum of 2 relevant MCPs is preferred
- Full MCSE 2003 certification is advantageous
- Excellent customer service ethos
- Willingness to learn new skills and technologies
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good written and verbal communication
- Strong personal organisation
- Self-motivated & proactive attitude
